Savor the ideal fusion of sweet, savory, and smoky flavors with these succulent BBQ brisket burnt ends. Sluggish smoking guarantees juicy, soft pieces with a caramelized exterior, resulting in a barbecue masterpiece.

Ingredients:

  • 8 lbs beef brisket point
  • 1/2 cup BBQ rub
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1/4 cup apple juice
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions:

Trim excess fat from brisket point and apply BBQ rub generously

Smoke brisket at 225F for 6 hours, or until internal temperature reaches 165F

Cube brisket into bite-sized pieces and place in a foil pan

In a saucepan, melt butter and mix in brown sugar, honey, apple juice, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper

Pour the sauce over the cubed brisket, ensuring each piece is coated

Return the foil pan to the smoker and smoke for an additional 2-3 hours, or until burnt ends have a caramelized exterior
