Char Kway Teow is a popular Malaysian street food made with stir-fried rice noodles, prawns, Chinese sausage, and other flavorful ingredients. Its a delicious and satisfying dish that captures the essence of Malaysian cuisine.
Ingredients:
- 150g rice noodles
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 50g prawns, peeled and deveined
- 50g Chinese sausage, sliced
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp chili paste
- 1/2 cup bean sprouts
- 2 stalks green onions, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Put rice noodles in hot water for 10 minutes and then drain them
Put oil from the vegetable pan or wok on medium-high heat
Chop up some garlic and add it
Stir-fry for 30 seconds
While the sausage is cooking, add the prawns and cook until the prawns turn pink
Move some of the food to one side of the wok, then crack an egg into the empty spot and scramble it
Soy sauce, dark soy sauce, and chili paste should be added after the rice noodles have been drained
Cook for two to three minutes
Stir-fry for one more minute after adding the green onions and bean sprouts
Add pepper and salt to taste
Enjoy while hot
